Entering The Web Abyss

Well, I’ve done it. I’m officially a member of the 21st century. I now have an ipod and a blog. Am I missing anything else that’s required to be a part of this elite club?

I will do what I can to entertain you at times, infuriate others and even make you think once in a while. Although I must admit I struggle with that one from time to time.

Let me just say I LOVE the NCAA Tournament! It is by far my favorite sports event because it has it all. It has big guys, little guys, blowouts, upsets and above all great drama! The whole win or go home scenario is fabulous and it’s what’s missing in the pro leagues with their best of 5 and 7 game series. It goes back to that “any given Sunday” mentality. The 7 game series is actually meant to discourage upsets. The thought is while the underdog might win one, over 7 games the best team will win out in the end. Yes, that may insure the “best” team reaching the finals, but it takes a lot of the excitement away from games 1, 2, 3, etc… Bottom line, in the NCAA Tournament every game is a party like execution where we are just waiting for someone’s head to roll! Kind of reminds me of the French Revolution! Vive La Tournament!

Obligatory Test Entry

Here we are at the beginning of yet another WKRN-TV blog, and that means it’s time, yes, for the obligatory test entry. This is here to determine how things will look when actual entries are made. You see, this one says absolutely nothing, but we’re sure the sports team will have LOTS of meaningful commentary, especially now that March Madness is underway.

So let’s hear it for test entries, huh?
