Detroit has Preds #……..
Everytime the Preds have a chance to take control of the Central the Red Wings come to town and beat them. Detroit won 2-1 tonight at Nashville Arena. The win gives the Red Wings first place in the West and Central even though both teams are tied with 105 points. Detroit has the tiebreaker.
But tonight is not about one loss. It is clear the Red Wings have the Preds number. They have won four straight against the Preds and won the regular season series 6-2. The Red Wings are not a team the Preds want to see in the playoffs. It really is the only team the Preds have had trouble with all year. Right now they would play in the 2nd round of the Western Conference Playoffs and Detroit would have home ice. But right now, that doesn’t seem to matter.
Do you think the Preds can beat the Red Wings in a 7 game series? At this point, I’d have to say no.
