Vandy beats Govs in extra inning thriller………
The top ranked Vanderbilt Commodores got a big scare from Austin Peay Friday night. But they are number one for a reason………. The Govs took David Price deep in the 9th inning to the game at one and send it to extra innings. But the Dores scored on a two our error in the bottom of the 11th to secure a 2-1 win. Vandy plays Michigan Saturday at 7pm. Austin Peay plays Memphis at 2pm.
David Price struck out 17 in 9 innings. Austin Peay’s Shawn Kelley was brilliant against the #1 team in the nation. The only run he gave up in 10 innings was a wild pitch in the 6th. This Kelley kid is the real deal. Reminds me of a young Curt Schilling.
We’ll have somplete post game coverage tomorrow morning on News 2 Weekend and tomorrow night on news 2 at 6pm.

it’s pretty damn pitiful this has not been updated since friday. how often does a local universities’ athletic program get national exposure as such and have a run at a national championship, and yet you cannot take the time to even post a paragraph about last night’s game or even get a simple baseball score posted.

Joel,
Let me defend my buddies over at the big 2. First, they were the only station in town to have interviews and game highlights the next morning of the games that all ended at midnight. Secondly, I bet you don’t have a moustache cause if you did, you wouldn’t be making such statements because people with moustache’s, like me, no the boys over the big deuce work around the clock to bring you great things like my show, for 11 years now and great highlights.
Get to know the Latin Phrase Joel that is, Es verdum la boutique.

Which loosely translated means, He with no moustache, makes fun of those with one, because he who make fun, cannot grow one.
