Titans make trade….
The Titans made a fairly big trade today adding a lot of depth to an already solid defensive line. We’ll talk with coach Fisher about it tonight on Titans on 2 with Jeff Fisher at 7pm.
Here’s the Titans official release:
TITANS ACQUIRE DE FISHER IN TRADE
NASHVILLE, TENN. – The Tennessee Titans acquired DE Bryce Fisher for an undisclosed draft pick in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks today. Fisher joins the Titans after spending the last two seasons in Seattle. Prior to joining the Seahawks, he played three seasons with the St. Louis Rams (2002-2004) and one campaign with the Buffalo Bills (2001).
“He has a lot of the attributes that you look for in a base defensive end - someone who plays the run, has the ability to rush the passer and can play either side,” said Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt. “I expect him to fit well in our system and add to the depth that we are building in the defensive line.”
“This is a good addition to our team in a number of ways,” said Titans head coach Jeff Fisher. “He has been a productive and durable player through the years and a player that we have had interest in for a number of years. I look forward to adding him to our defensive line mix.”
Fisher has played in 82 career games with 49 starts and has registered 261 tackles (159 solo), 26.5 sacks, 13 passes defensed, five forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in seven NFL seasons. The 6-foot-3-inch, 265-pound defensive end also has excelled in the playoffs, collecting 29 tackles (17 solo), 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in eight career postseason contests. Fisher enjoyed a breakout campaign with the Rams in 2004 when he notched a career-high 77 tackles (38 solo) and 8.5 sacks. After signing as an unrestricted free agent prior to 2005 with the Seahawks, he collected a career-best 9.0 sacks and eight pass defensed in his first season in Seattle. Last season, the seven-year veteran started all 16 games for the Seahawks and registered 46 tackles (37 solo) and four sacks. He saw action in a reserve role in the Seattle’s opener against Tampa Bay last week but did not record any statistics.
Fisher was originally drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round (240th overall) of the 1999 NFL Draft. After fulfilling a two-year active duty commitment with the Air Force, he joined the Bills for the 2001 season and notched three sacks. The Renton, Wash., native was a two-year starter at the Air Force Academy and earned WAC Defensive Player of the Year honors in the Mountain Division as a senior after posting 70 tackles, six sacks and a fumble recovery.
To make room on the roster for Fisher, DT Jesse Mahelona was released.

That’s what i’m talking about Kroger…a player with a last name worthy of sportin a stache.
The catepillar isn’t the only apart of my prickly pine repetoire.
It will take some work, but Bryce will be able to pull it off in a few weeks.
The Fisher name will grow and grow just like………my stache.

Coach F, I don’t like your mustache, especially when comparing it to the one Dr. Coots sported back in the day.

Coach F:
I don’t know about you, but I think Randy Moss has a fine stache. Why didn’t you take him instead of Kevin Dyson?

Billy,
It is a character thing. How much trouble did Kevin Dyson get into? Zero, zilch, what about Mr. Moss? All kinds. See, not only does this stache make me look fine, it also helps when picking players like Andre Woolfolk, Aric Morris, Tank Williams, Andre Dyson, etc. So, you can ‘hate’ all you want, the ’stache’ is all about the love. And the game.
