Titans Fire Offensive Coordinator Chow
After three seasons with the team, the Tennessee Titans fired offensive coordinator Norm Chow Tuesday.
In a statement, Titans’ Head Coach Jeff Fisher said “Over the last week, we have done a lot of self-evaluation and I think we still have work ahead of us to reach our ultimate goal. I have informed Norm that he will not be retained as our offensive coordinator. I appreciate all the hard work and contributions he made to the organization during his time here, but I have decided to go in a different direction and will start the process of finding a new offensive coordinator. We wish Norm and his family they best in their future endeavors.”
The Titans finished the regular season 10-6, making the playoffs for the first time in four years.
The Titans lost in the first round in San Diego, 17-6.
Overall, the Titans finished tenth in the AFC in total yards.
Chow, who was previously the offensive coordinator at USC, was interviewed for UCLA’s head coach opening in December but withdrew his name from consideration.
