Lendale White Never Holds Back....

And I love it. Lendale will tell you exactly how he feels at any given time…which is refreshing. We always hear the old sports cliches’…but not from Lendale.

Lendale was his same “tell it how it is” self Friday at the Titans OTA when he was asked about his weight loss this offseason. He said that this is the best he has felt since college, that he wakes up in the morning, can walk around and feel good, and that he wants to feel like this forever. Of course, the media started to point out, that his critics would say that his change in health just happens to come in his contract year…but before the question was even asked, Lendale responded with this….
“Listen, Listen. Contract year or not, I know what they’re going to say and it’s hilarious, yeh. I’m not doing this to have the titans redo my contract or make it better. This is the end of my contract with the titans, if the titans Titans don’t pay me, someone will. My heart is with the titans, I want to be a Tennessee Titan, I didn’t lose this weight to get a better contract.”
Guess what, I almost believe him. Almost. He told us that the reason he lost the weight was for his career, but mostly because he has finally grown up.
We’re all smart enough to know that the fact that it is White’s contract year is what started his attempt to get into the shape he should be in, but I will say this…Lendale White looks faster, and more athetic than last season, and whether he lost the weight because it’s his contract year or not is irrelevant to me.
The fact is, Lendale’s new physical appearance and new positive attitude (he doesn’t seem as selfish as he has been in the past) that has come with it, is going to be HUGE for this team this season.

Robb, you’re right he really looks good out there right now!! I know it’s hard to tell in OTA’S with no pads on, but it seems that he hits the holes much quicker than he did last year! Good stuff…

I think this is White’s last year with the Titans. They have enough RB’s now and Ringer(the one that’s taking White’s job from him) looks great! I’d hate to see White go, but i believe that’s the way it’s going down.
