A New Era?

I’ll be the first to admit it, I am not the biggest soccer fan in the world. Not enough scoring chances and then there’s that “extra” time the referees can arbitrarily add at the end of the game. I digress. Congratulations to the United States Soccer team for their biggest win since electricity!

The U.S. beat top ranked Spain today 2-0 in the Confederation Cup Semi-Finals. It is not World Cup play, but they were still playing Spain and that’s not too bad. I’ve been listening to soccer fans for years and I keep telling them to get back to me when we finally win something, anything. Today that day came and I say enjoy it! Hopefully, there will be more to come.
