....JERSEYGATE.....DAY 2....

As if the 0-6 start isn’t bad enough, as if suffering one of the worst defeats in NFL history wasn’t bad enough, now the team must deal with another off the field distraction, this one courtesy of the head coach.

Today, the players were just peppered with questions from the media about ‘Jerseygate.’  Every player was asked about it….some thought it was funny, some couldnt have cared less, and one, Keith Bulluck, seemed to be put off be the whole incident.  He was asked if he would wear another jersey and he said, ‘Everytime I put on the number 53, I feel like a winner.’  Very well put, Mr. Monday night.

I think this is a team, drifting with no oars.  Jevon Kearse even hinted the Titans should be looking toward next year, when asked to elaborate, his answer drifted off.  Much like the team right now.

A win will quiet a lot of people and a nice 10 game winning streak will certainly fire people up but in a good way.

I think the Titans sometimes forget that there is a lot of emotional and financial passion when it comes to that team amongst the fans.  When the Titans win, everyone wins and when they are doing bad, these passionate fans hurt with them.  How do I know?  I see them, I talk to them, I see their posts on Facebook, Twitter, etc.  They are down with the team and a lot of people, callers, emails, etc, are very upset with what Jeff Fisher did, in light of where this team is now.

It is going to be a very interesting next 10 weeks.

I think Keith Bullock has it correct. Jeff Fischer suppprtoing Dunning is ok but it could have chose just a colt jersey versus Peyton Manning. I am very disappointed that our head couch would say such a thing as well as wear a dog gone Peyton Manning jersey.

I was there. It got a standing ovation. It was a great way to introduce and honor Tony Dungy. It is totally appropriate. Like all other Titan fans I’m also frustrated and saddened with the 0-6 season so far. But Coach Fisher wearing the jersey actually made me feel hopeful for our team. Don’t overact and take the “Jersey Gate out of context. It’s a joke and if you were there you would get it and understand. It was a joke and totally appropriate!

I don’t think it is funny at all. I have 4 PSL’s and love this team and I don’t like it when they lose and to wear a jersey of an opposing team, way overboard. He didn’t need to do that. Classless

Jeff Fisher is brilliant! This should only motivate our team to prove that they are winners as well. I’m also a PSL owner and attend all home games, but even the fans need to know when enough is enough, and i think that time is now. Get a sense of humor. And at least he was wearing a Manning jersey, he at least has a history of football in our great state. I would rather have a coach like Fisher anyday rather than a coach that’s just going to keep his mouth shut and wade it out. CLASSY!

I do not like Peyton Manning and I would like to say that he could have just worn a Colt’s jersy not Peyton Manning. The Colts are a team and Peyton Manning is not the only one in the game. I think to supprt our guys like Keith Bullock said when he puts on his jersey he is a winner. Jeff needs to make better judment. 98% did not agree to this to 2%. So Jeff if you read this DO NOT EVER WEAR a PEYTOM MANNING jersey again. Go with just a simple COLTS jersey.

Hey Joe- Really? You know the fans because you’re on twitter. My problem with YOU professionally is that you’re so sensational. You are negative. How about all the fans who thought it was funny. How about the standing ovation it got? How about the millions it raised for charity? Why is it that you’re so editorial vs. being a journalist? And if you’re going to be editorial why don’t you write something positive? This, plus your “speculation,” that Coach Fisher and Coach Cecil were getting fired. From who? Mr. Adams flat out said NO one is getting fired. Coach Fisher said NO one on his staff is getting fired…yet, you - report it. Where did you hear that? The bathroom stall in the media room. It’s just unprofessional. You sir, are unprofessional. And as an executive who has been in the sports news reporting business for 20-years, you’re going to need to hang your hat on a knowledge of sports, on real sports news, and good “news,” stories — at some point. Not your ho-hum style of sensational, inaccurate reporting that is filled with bull and fluff. At some point your bosses will go weary of it and you’ll be off to Toledo. Or better yet - TMZ.

Titanfan, This is a blog, Joe’s allowed to give some opinion.

I don’t recall anyone reporting Fish or Cecil would be fired. As for Mr. Adams, he said no one would be fired DURING THE SEASON, but said he’d have to look hard at things if it didn’t improve.

The Manning jersey is clearly not something everyone will agree on and I think we all have to understand and embrace that we are and think differently.
